The suspect has a history of similar offences
A B.C. resident was arrested for sexual assault after luring a youth in Airdrie on social media, according to the RCMP.
Callum Tanner Stewart, 29, of Nanaimo, B.C., has been charged with the child luring and sexual assault.
The investigation began on June 12, RCMP say, following reports of abuse.
Stewart also has a history of similar offences — he’s currently before the courts in B.C. for possession and distribution of child pornography.
Stewart was brought before a Justice of the Peace where he has been remanded into custody.
He will appear at Calgary Provincial Court on June 24.
