WWE in contact with Jason Kelce ahead of WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia

Jason Kelce already has some experience jumping onto a flaming table, so it only makes sense an appearance at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia is on the table.

WWE has reached out to the retired offensive lineman and Eagles legend ahead of the two-day show at Lincoln Financial Field on April 7-8, according to a Fightful report on Tuesday.

Kelce, 36, spent all 13 of his NFL seasons with the Eagles before announcing he was hanging it up after the team reached the Super Bowl two years ago and suffered a disappointing wild-card round loss to the Buccaneers this past season.

Since then, he has been on a bit of a gregarious run.

Kelce went shirtless in the stands while drinking a beer watching brother Travis and the Chiefs beat the Bills in the divisional round of playoffs on their way to winning a second-straight Super Bowl championship.

In March, Jason Kelce got to jump through a flaming table as part of his “New Heights” podcast that he hosts with his brother in an attempt to recreate the Bills Mafia tailgate experience.

It’s unclear what Jason Kelce would potentially do at WrestleMania should a deal come together, but athletes such as Ronda Rousey, Pete Rose, Shaquille O’Neal and Rob Gronkowski have all appeared on the shot over the years.

Kelce being a part of the show would be a fun occurrence for Philly fans and would shine a spotlight on the event given his current popularity.

The Kelce family has been the talk of the sports and entertainment world since Travis began dating 14-time Grammy winner Taylor Swift, and the two have been showing up to support each other at concerts and games.
