2024 AL, NL Cy Young award odds: Kevin Gausman, Spencer Strider favored

Starters have stretched out their arms and ready for the long season ahead; Opening Day is finally on the horizon.

That means time is running out to get your future bets in, as all 30 MLB teams are officially kicking off their 2024 season this weekend.

Let’s take a look at where the Cy Young Award race odds stand before the rest of the league kicks into high gear.

The AL Cy Young race is a bit of a crapshoot after an elbow injury removed Gerrit Cole from the picture for at least the first couple of months of the season.

Kevin Gausman and Corbin Burnes lead the pack at +800 (BetMGM Sportsbook), but they don’t have much of an edge on their competition.

Luis Castillo, Framber Valdez, Tarik Skubal, Pablo Lopez and George Kirby are all close behind, sitting between +900 and +1200.

Cole, who won last season’s AL Cy Young award, had been as high as +500 to repeat at bet365 in early March

NL Cy Young odds

Player Odds

Yoshinobu Yamamoto 12/1
Max Fried 14/1
Zac Gallen 14/1
Tyler Glasnow 15/1

It’s a much different story in the Senior Circuit.

Atlanta Braves ace Spencer Strider is lapping the field in the NL Cy Young race.

Strider’s +425 odds at BetMGM are more than twice as good as the next-best hurler, Zack Wheeler, who is sitting at +900.
