Love is blind…except when it possibly resembles Megan Fox.
Season 6 of “Love Is Blind,” which is now streaming on Netflix, had a moment where flight attendant / event planner Chelsea Blackwell, 31, compared herself to Megan Fox.
After her comments went viral, she told ET that she regrets making that remark.
“I did reach out to her [Fox], and I was like, ‘I’m so sorry I did this to you,’” Chelsea said. “I’m just waiting for Megan to respond.”
The show follows singles as they date in “pods,” talking to each other through a wall. They only lay eyes on each other after they agree to get engaged – before that, they have no idea what their future spouse looks like.
Season 6 has five couples who are heading to the altar, including Chelsea and Jimmy Presnell, 27, who works in software sales.
During their time in the “pods,” Chelsea told Jimmy that she gets compared to the “Transformers” actress, 37. Fans of the show slammed her, for trying to circumvent the purpose of the experiment.
“Me waiting on Jimmy to see that Chelsea looks nothing like Megan Fox,” one fan posted on X, formerly Twitter, along with a GIF of Michael Jackson eating popcorn and smirking.
“Me every time chelsea comes on the screen: oh here come megan fox,” another fan joked.
“No bc who lied and told chelsea from love is blind that she looks like megan fox i can’t breathe,” another fan said.
One fan defended Chelsea, posting a photo of Jimmy.
After the two met in person, Jimmy said, “She definitely lied to me on some of how she looked. Chelsea told me she looked like Megan Fox.”
But, he added, “At the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter. I’m very attracted to her, I can work with that.”
After Chelsea posted a viral video on TikTok about it, saying, “This would be a great time for the people who have ever told me that I resembled her to come forward. Please. I’m begging you,” “Uncut Gems” actress Julia Fox commented, “Don’t worry sis. I see it.”
Other comments supported Chelsea too.
“You have Megan fox features on a Natalie nunn face shape, you definitely deserved better than him though,” one fan commented on her TikTok, referring to Jimmy.
Another person wrote, “You definitely resemble Megan Fox. You never said you were her twin. There are similarities for sure.”
A third fan chimed in, “I see it. Not a current Megan Fox but when she was younger for sure.”
Chelsea and Jimmy are heading for the altar, but their journey there has been bumpy, as they got into a fight about Jimmy making comments about fellow contestant A.D.’s body. Shortly after they finally saw each other, Jimmy also confessed that he almost left the show.
A dismayed Chelsea said, “I don’t wanna hear that … I don’t wanna hear that you were about to go home, that would have sucked.”
She later told the camera: “Maybe I wasn’t what he was expecting. I don’t want him to wake up one morning and decide that he screwed up with his decision.”
Episodes 10-11 will premiere Feb. 28 and the finale will premiere March 6.
