At Roger Goodell’s annual Super Bowl press conference Monday, the NFL Commissioner laughed off questions that the league scripted the romance between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.
If Kelce defies the odds by proposing to the transcendent performer at Sunday’s Super Bowl, Ontarian bettors can receive a payout in excess of 8/1 at FanDuel Sportsbook & Casino Canada.
The payout, however, will likely not be enough for a family of four to afford Swift tickets on the secondary market when she performs at the Rogers Centre in Toronto in November.
“There are appropriately the right amount caps on those bets so that it stays a fun prop bet,” said Andrew Sneyd, executive vice president of marketing at FanDuel Group, in an interview Thursday from Radio Row in Las Vegas.
FanDuel set limits of $100 on the prop, a company spokesman told The Action Network. The cheapest seat for Swift’s concert on Nov. 14 went for $903 on Thursday night on StubHub.
While FanDuel did not have an update on splits for the wager, the “Yes” option garnered 55% of the votes last week, ESPN.com reported.
Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are 2.5-point underdogs to the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII. Kelce is listed at +1400 to win Super Bowl MVP, the fourth choice at FanDuel.
FanDuel Sportsbook, which is live in more than 20 states, does not offer the prop in the U.S.
The restrictions on off-field props are not as strict in Ontario.
As of Friday, bettors received odds of +820 on selections for the Chiefs tight end to propose in Sin City. For bettors who opt for the “No” selection, FanDuel offered odds of -2000.
“It’s fun that they could have people predict who would be the next mayor of Toronto, when the first snowstorm is going to happen and now will Travis win the Super Bowl and drop to a knee and propose?” Sneyd said.
Swift as a sportsbook brand ambassador?
Over the last several years, LeBron James, Kevin Hart, Jamie Foxx and Vanessa Hudgens are among the celebrities who have served as sportsbook brand ambassadors.
Asked if FanDuel would consider signing Swift in such a role, Sneyd hinted that the company would pass while citing responsible gambling standards.
“We take it very seriously to make sure that the audience is appropriately over 21 with anyone we work with. I think today that would be offsides,” Sneyd said, referencing Swift’s very large teenage following.
“If someone chose to work with her, you’d likely have too large an audience of people that are under the legal betting age,” he added.
One Las Vegas chapel is offering to compensate Swift and Kelce for exchanging vows after the Super Bowl.

At the same time, Chapel of Flowers will offer a free wedding on Super Bowl Sunday to any couple with the first names of Taylor and Travis.
The Strip property received billing as “best Wedding Venue in Las Vegas” by the Las Vegas Review Journal.
FanDuel offers other novelty props on Swift for Sunday’s game.
There are odds of +520 on if Chiefs coach Andy Reid will mention Swift in an interview or speech on the podium at Allegiant Stadium.
