Talented home bakers are asked to bring their best baked creations to the Hyatt Regency hotel in downtown Vancouver on Feb. 11 at 9 a.m.

The Great Canadian Baking Show brings together 10 amateur bakers from across the country to compete in a series of themed culinary challenges. Past seasons of the show can be streamed at CBC Gem.

The eighth season of the show will film in Toronto in late spring/early summer on the grounds of the E.P. Taylor Estate.

There is an online casting opportunity but, according to a statement from production, “the open call offers one more chance to impress the casting team, plus the opportunity to meet bakers from previous seasons on site.”
