Hunter Biden in Oval Office with family for Joe’s speech on decision to drop out of 2024 race

President Biden was joined by scandal-scarred first son Hunter Biden and one of his daughters just out of frame of his Oval Office address on Wednesday night.

The president, 81, dropped his re-election campaign on Sunday after three weeks of mounting pressure from key Democratic allies calling him to reconsider his pitch.

The pressure began after Biden had a disastrous debate against former President Donald Trump, 78, on June 27, where he appeared confused and fumbled over his answers.

Hunter Biden, 54, who is facing sentencing over a gun charge, was reportedly advising his father to continue being in the race alongside first lady Jill Biden.

Sitting next to Hunter was his daughter Finnegan Biden, 23, The first lady was also seated next to Biden’s desk, next to Ashley Biden and her husband Howard Krein.

The disgraced first son was holed up in Camp David with his father, who he believed had enough stamina to push through for campaigning another term, the New York Times reported in late June.

The White House has insisted that Biden will not pardon Hunter before leaving office, but sources close to the president have previously told The Post they suspect he may do so.

Biden’s Oval Office speech on Wednesday night was the first time he addressed Americans live since suspending his bid.

He was diagnosed with COVID-19 last Wednesday and had been in Delaware until Tuesday. He still spoke with a raspy voice despite being cleared of the virus.

The younger Biden sent out a heartfelt message after his father ultimately suspended his bid on Sunday.

“For my entire life, I’ve looked at my dad in awe. How could he suffer so much heartache and yet give so much of whatever remained of his heart to others? Not only in the policies he passed, but in the individual lives he’s touched,” Hunter said.

“Over a lifetime I have witnessed him absorb the pain of countless everyday Americans who he’s given his personal phone number to, because he wanted them to call him when they were hurting. When their last hopes were slipping through their hands,” he added.
