Métro’s Orange Line resumes service after water main break causes infiltration

Service resumed around 5:30 p.m.

Service on the métro’s Orange Line resumed around 5:30 p.m. between Côte-Vertu and Berri-UQAM stations after water infiltration caused an interruption in the afternoon, the Société de transport de Montréal said.

The STM said a replacement bus service had been dispatched to serve the interrupted part of the line.

The disruption was the result of a water main break between the Lionel-Groulx and Place-St-Henri stations.

City crews turned off the valve and the STM resumed service once the water was drained.
