Man hospitalized after stabbing in Cabot Square

The suspect fled before the arrival of police.

An 18-year-old man was stabbed at least once in the upper body late Sunday after an argument in a downtown park degenerated.

Montreal police said the incident occurred at about 10:30 p.m. in Cabot Square on Ste. Catherine St. near Atwater Ave.

The victim was conscious when taken to hospital and his injuries are not deemed to be life threatening.

The suspect fled before the arrival of police and there were no arrests reported as of sunrise Monday. Investigators will verify if local surveillance cameras were able to capture the incident.
