Braves prospect has whopping 35 wild pitches in three career innings

They say first impressions are a lasting impression, and Atlanta Braves prospect Francisco Vicioso took that to a new level with a dreadful statline.

Vicioso has allowed 20 earned runs and 35 wild pitches through three professional innings.

Adding to his resume, he also has hit four batters alongside 28 walks.

Looking at some of his pitches, it almost seems like he’s throwing a wiffle ball for how much it’s moving.

Moreover, outside of the pitcher’s mound, the 19-year-old earned three errors in his three fielding plays.

Over the past two seasons, Vicioso played ten games in the Dominican Summer League – and in that timeframe, he has put together an ERA of 60.00.

His eye-catching stats and outings has left social media users puzzled.

One wrote on X, “This can’t be real. Why would they leave him in?”

Another one added, “A 60 ERA…. that’s possible?”

Others poked fun at the situation, with multiple stating, “worst player ever,” “time to hang it up,” and “Is this his first time throwing a baseball?

“This is how you build up elite catchers,” one noted.

Last year, Vicioso pitched three games and got a whopping one out.

He also gave up 14 runs on 11 walks with 17 wild pitches and a 351.00 ERA.

The Braves, who are second in the National League with a record of 54-43, are set for seven straight days of baseball.

They will take on the Mets at Citi Field after four consecutive home games.

And based on social media’s recent swirl, they would be brave to let Vicioso step up.
