An autopsy on the woman is scheduled for Wednesday
The Calgary police homicide unit is investigating the suspicious death of a woman in the northwest community of Bowness.
At around 1:10 p.m. Tuesday, first responders were called to a home in the 4600 block of 73 St. N.W. where they found a woman in medical distress.
“Upon arrival, police located the woman and despite lifesaving efforts on scene the woman succumbed to her injuries,” police said in a press release.
“Our homicide unit is now investigating. As the investigation is in the early stages, no additional details are available at this time.”
An autopsy on the woman is scheduled for Wednesday.
