QUEBEC — As the epidemiological situation continues to improve in Quebec, the health ministry believes it’s time to ease restrictions on wearing masks in health-care facilities.

Each facility will have the responsibility to determine the level of protection required, including whether or not to wear a medical mask. Those decisions should rely on “the competence of their prevention and infection control teams” as well as recommendations from the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ).
