Alberta’s energy minister is set to travel to Texas this weekend to attend the CERAWeek conference in Houston.
Peter Guthrie is scheduled to leave on a six-day trip on Sunday. The event is put on by American consulting firm S&P Global and bills itself as “the world’s premier energy conference.”

The conference runs March 6 to 10. This year’s theme is listed as “Navigating a Turbulent World: Energy, Climate and Security.”

Attendees will “explore in depth the strategies for a world in turmoil,” the conference’s website reads.
“How will the industry navigate the turbulence and lead the global transition to a sustainable, secure, abundant and affordable future?”
Guthrie will travel with his chief-of-staff and one other Alberta Energy official.
