Kate Middleton makes a case for monochromatic style: Shop her looks

Kate Middleton has found her fall uniform.

The Princess of Wales has stepped out in a monochromatic look three times in the past week, choosing high-necked sweater styles with coordinating coats for all of her public engagements in November — and her sleek outfits are easy to copy on a commoner’s budget.

Middleton, 40, started her monochrome trend when she attended a community impact day on November 3 in Scarborough, England wearing a camel Max & Co wrap coat ($490) and a matching turtleneck sweater dress by Gabriela Hearst, adding a more affordable brown leather belt from Boden ($85).

She kept the head-to-toe beige theme going with a DeMellier “Nano Montreal” bag ($395) and the Ralph Lauren “Celia” pump ($675), adding a pair of $6 Accessorize gold drop earrings.

Two days later, Middleton took her neutrals up a notch by wearing a head-to-toe red look to the Rugby League World Cup men’s quarter-final match between England and Papua New Guinea.

The princess wore another Gabriela Heart piece, choosing the label’s turtleneck ($590) in the aptly named “Windsor Wine” and a coordinating pleated skirt from Boden, adding a bright red Alexander McQueen coat that she wore to two events in 2020 and a pair of slouchy brown boots.

On Wednesday, she kept the single-color streak going with a new olive green ribbed “Knitted Perkins” dress by Mango ($60) with a croc-print belt and a green Hobbs “Lori” coat while visiting the Colham Manor Children’s Centre in Uxbridge, England.

While Middleton’s exact colorway isn’t available in the United States, you can grab the same Mango dress in black or beige.

The Princess of Wales added green accessories, wearing a croc-print Jimmy Choo clutch and olive Gianvito Rossi suede pumps, with the only pop of contrasting color in the form of her favorite Kiki McDonough citrine drop earrings ($627).
