Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo on Sunday agreed with the notion that it’s counterproductive for Democrats to speak about different candidates who may run in opposition to President Biden in 2024.
Throughout an look on CBS’s “Face The Nation,” moderator Margaret Brennan requested Raimondo about her personal political future since being touted for a potential run for president.
“There’s loads of hypothesis about your personal political future. And do you assume whenever you hear that, you should hear it?” Brennan requested Raimondo. “Is that counterproductive for Democrats to be brazenly speaking about anybody apart from Joe Biden operating in 2024?”
“Sure, I believe it’s. The president is a superb president. He’s doing a terrific job, he’s going to run and he’s the person for the job,” Raimondo replied. “So I do assume it’s unproductive.”
Brennan then requested Raimondo about her personal political future, mentioning hypothesis of strikes to the Treasury Division and a 2024 presidential run, however Raimondo wouldn’t handle these rumors.
“And also you and your political future. What’s it?” Brennan requested Raimondo.
“Doing a terrific job of the Commerce Division,” Raimondo replied.
“Properly, there’s hypothesis you may transfer to Treasury. There’s hypothesis you may run for president” Brennan stated.
